The National Cancer Screening Service (NCSS) is preparing for the introduction of the national colorectal screening programme which will commence later this year.

We offer Bowel Cancer Screening through Patient Questionnaire, Digital Examination when necessary and FOB (Faecal Occult Blood Test) home testing. Polyps and Bowel cancers sometimes bleed which is why the blood not always seen in your bowel motions requires testing. The FOB test does not diagnose bowel cancer but will inform us if you need an examination of your bowel (a colonoscopy).
